G’day, humans! I came to CBHR as Sunny; my foster dad changed it to Sonny – but no matter how you spell it, I’m one sweet and handsome hound dog!
I’m just 13 months old and have lots of great puppy traits. I love to play and I love meeting people even more! I’ve settled in nicely and now have three doggie beds and a bunch of toys I like to chew on and play with.
They say I’ve got ballerina feet, meaning I am perpetually in first position with my feet turning to each side a bit, but that’s how a lot of us bassets are made. I walk just fine, although I like to pull on the leash. Foster Dad is teaching me how to have good leash manners as well as how to be a polite houndie – like not to chew on things that don’t belong to me. I’ll get it, you just wait!
I’ve been a good houseguest and have a great temperament. I even let Foster Dad clean my ears without a fuss! I also have been well-behaved when left by myself and not crated.
I’m catching on to this housetraining thing and let FD know when I need to go outside. I am curious about other dogs and have not shown any aggression. I love to eat but I’m not food aggressive.
This energetic boy would do best with someone with an active lifestyle who can take me for walks and romps. If you would like to learn more about my fabulous self, contact CBHR and ask for Sonny (Sunny).
