Hello, darlings! They call me Sugababe, and in addition to looking absolutely fabulous in a hat (see my photo gallery), I also have a history as a therapy dog. I’m an easygoing 12-year-old lady with a calm demeanor who is content to be near the people and whatever activity is going on in the house.
I’m not a lapdog, and I don’t get on the furniture. I’m great around adults and children. I get along with other dogs, and while I like to bark at cats and birds, I don’t bother them. I confess to being a bit overweight, but Foster Mom thinks it might be because I was fed table food in my previous home. We are working on getting me to a healthier weight.
Despite my age and a few extra pounds, I get around really well and can go up and down the entry stairs and ramp without any trouble. I haven’t had any accidents in my foster home, but I need to go a little more often than other dogs. We are checking with a vet about that.
Overall, though, you can’t go wrong with me. Foster Mom calls me a “well-mannered, lovable and very adoptable” senior. So if you’d like a sweet girl like me, contact CBHR and ask about Sugababe! I’ll be waiting.
