About Me
*Sherlock has been adopted.*
Hi there! By now you’ve no doubt deduced that my name is Sherlock. I’m new to CBHR and because I was picked up as a stray, they’re not exactly sure how old I am, but my foster mom thinks probably 5 to 6 years old.
I came to CBHR with a very large growth on my tummy that was also infected and bleeding. Fortunately, after some surgery and much TLC thanks to my foster family, I’m nearly as good as new – and the biopsy was negative!
My foster mom says I am an affectionate and loving fellow with no significant negative traits that she has found yet. I especially love my foster dad – I love to follow him around and sit right at his feet. My foster mom says none of the other dogs in the house do that, so I make him feel very special.
She tells me I have a great personality, and I am so happy to be in a home where I am loved and taken care of. I have become very playful since recovering from surgery, and I am one happy dog!
I get along well with all adults, but I have limited exposure to children and cats. I love, love, love being out in the yard, sunning or romping. I can really get used to this!
What I am looking for besides a loving forever family is a home with very few or no steps. You see, I can’t navigate stairs very well and I would really appreciate not having to climb any. Other than that, Foster Mom says she thinks I would fit in very nicely with almost anyone.
You will always know I’m around – I love to be the center of attention and will whimper if you’re ignoring me. I get along great with the other dogs in my foster home.
After being subjected to life as an outdoor dog before CBHR, I already feel like part of the pack. If you think I might be the basset for you, contact CBHR and ask for Sherlock!
