About Me
Howdy! My name’s Scooter, and I know it. I come when I’m called, so you know I have great potential. They say I’m a diamond in the rough. Believe it.
I’m new to CBHR but I’m a big, strong boy, and I really crave attention. I am also very curious about everything.
I love to eat and can really scarf it down. I have to be fed separately from the other dogs because I just want to eat everyone’s food.
My foster mom says I am a really great boy, but I need more socialization with people because I’ve been left alone so much of my life. I’m still working on housetraining but making progress. I have a lot of energy for an almost-8-year-old guy, but I’m also patient and don’t mind being left alone as long as I’m not crated – those things terrify me.
All in all, I’m a joyful and loving guy, and pretty darned handsome, too! I’m also pretty good with commands. However, I would do best in a home with a fenced yard because I am curious and would run away if I could get out.
I don’t have much experience with children, but because of my energy level, I might not be ideal for a family with small children.
I love toys and steer-knuckle bones, but those stuffed toys don’t last long with this boy.
One thing I can guarantee is that I’m a special boy and will make someone a great dog once I get a little more acclimated. I am out on a home trial right now, but keep checking back! And while you’re on this site, read about some of my fellow bassets who are looking for their forever homes.
