Hello, CBHR fans! I’m Samantha, and I’m new around here. I’m a sweet, loving girl, and my foster mom says I have great potential. But for now, I am a work in progress.
I’m about 19 months old, so I still have lots of puppy energy and can be a bit rambunctious. I’m also still trying to get the hang of this potty-training thing. I don’t let you know when I need to go, but I am good about using the doggie door when I need to do some business. I’m smart and eager to learn, though, so keep checking back for progress reports.
I am friendly with other dogs and don’t have any desire to be the alpha in my pack. I also like people and kids.
I’m generally sweet-natured but I do have some food aggression problems and have growled at my foster mom over food. I’m working on that too.
I am currently on hold for heartworm treatment and may have an adopter waiting, but we have gotten so many wonderful bassets in recently — please check out some of my fellow houndies. We have some great senior dogs, too, and they are just waiting for someone to love for the rest of their days.
