About Me
Why, greetings, everyone! I’m a sweet senior lady named Sadie, but don’t let my age – 12 years, but I prefer to think of it as experience – fool you. I still have a lot of energy. I’m settling into my CBHR foster home after many years with the same family; sadly, a turn of events on the health care front left them unable to continue giving me the love I deserve, so they made the sad choice to help me find a new forever home.
One thing I’ve learned along my life’s journey is not to sweat the small stuff. I’m a pretty laid-back girl, and very little fazes me. I’m great with humans of all ages, and I get along well with the other dog in my foster home. We enjoy trying each other’s food to see if it tastes different, and neither of us gets testy about that.
My fosters say I’m a really good girl, and I can’t argue with that. I had to take care of some health issues when I came to CBHR, but I’m doing great and am so excited to meet my new forever family.
I like to sleep in the kitchen – that way I’m already in the room when breakfast is served. I haven’t shown the least bit of anxiety, and I don’t have any special needs. Look, I know that I’m not a young pup, but I’ve got lots of love and life left in me for the right family.
All of us CBHR bassets are looking for that special family who will love and care for us the rest of our lives. In return, we will love you right back. Some hounds here have some special needs, but we know the right family is out there somewhere. And guess what? I’m now available to be adopted, with some medical issues.
