About Me
They call me Rosie, and I’m here at CBHR because I was found as a stray with nowhere else to turn. I’m a feisty 2-year-old girl who isn’t afraid to use my bark to let other dogs know I’m no pushover.
My fosters are working with me to improve my trust and house manners. When you’ve been on your own, you never know who your friends are. I am learning that I’m in a safe place where I can maybe let my guard down a bit.
I do have some resource guarding issues (like I said, I was a stray – food was hard to come by). I also get a little jealous if my lap human pays attention to another dog. My fosters are working to help me understand that the other dog isn’t trying to steal my attention, just share it.
Other than that, I like to play with the other dog in the home. I am learning how to let the people know when I need to go out and am progressing well. I’m not a wired dog, but I do love me some zoomies from time to time.
Confession: I am a bit of an escape artist and don’t like being left in a wire crate when the people leave. I Houdini-ed my way out of the crate one day and chewed up some contraband items, so when they leave my fosters put me in a plastic airplane crate and I do just fine. I also sleep nicely in the wire crate – I just like to know that people are around.
So far I haven’t spent much time around children, but I did let a couple of them pet me for a little while. Cats, on the other hand, are not my favorite. I growled and barked at the neighbor’s cat, so I probably would fit best into a feline-free home.
I’m a work in progress, but I am sure I’ll make someone a nice pet. If you are interested in this young, gorgeous girl, contact CBHR and let them know you’d like the 411 on Rosie. I’ll be waiting to meet you!
