Hey there! My name’s Pepsi, and I’m as addictive as that soft drink I’m named after. You won’t find a sweeter basset boy than me.
I’m 4 years old and quite a handsome dude, if I do say so myself. I’ve been busy getting this housetraining thing down and am doing great, although it’s still a work in progress.
What’s not so great is that I had to endure several days of boomies when the neighbor shot off fireworks – that loud noise is SCARY! But I haven’t reacted too badly to thunderstorms, and I am generally a happy-go-lucky guy.
So happy-go-lucky, in fact, that I tend not to listen to commands and like to do as I darn well please. I will need a home with experienced dog owners who will work with me consistently on obedience training. I don’t like to be touched on my head, for some reason, but my foster people are working with me and know to pet me on the neck or below. That’s something some training can help with also, I’ll bet.
Beyond that, I am a really good boy – although I snarf down my food quickly and will eat everybody else’s dinner if you let me. My foster mom is feeding me separately from the other dogs in the house to help combat my food-stealing tendencies.
I love to play with other dogs and am as friendly as can be. I love crowds – more people mean more rubs! I also love squeaky toys
