About Me
Greetings, humans! My given name is Sir Paddington Charles III, but no need for such formality. My friends call my Paddy. I’m an 8-year-old basset and I came to CBHR with my best friend Annie. We are a bonded set.
I absolutely adore pets and belly rubs. (No self-respecting basset hound turns down a calming belly rub.) I’m a little more anxious than Annie, who is pretty relaxed most of the time.
We both have had some dental problems and had some teeth extracted, but we do just fine when our Foster Mom mixes our kibble with water and a chicken-and-rice pate. I am an honorary knight of the realm, after all. I’m not a fan of having my foster clean my still-healing gums with a syringe, and I object heavily.
We really enjoy staying close to Foster Mom, and she lets us sleep in her bedroom! We loev to be outdoors. We do pretty well walking on a leash, but we like to greet all the dogs we meet on our outings with a rousing round of barks.
We are still learning about potty training, but we are doing pretty well. We aren’t crated and do just fine staying behind a baby gate when Foster Mom has to go to work.
She really likes us and wants to adopt us! Keep checking back to see if we have been moved to Happy Hounds, and make sure you come back often, because CBHR gets new dogs in often. We all want to find our forever families.
For now, I remain Sir Paddington Charles III – that’s Paddy to you!
