About Me
Betcha don’t see a lot of black-and-white bassets but just take a look at this handsome guy – that’s me, Oreo (or, as my foster mom dubbed me, Oreo McRandolph Kirkland). Ha ha! But I’m thinking this regal name really fits.
I’m an energetic but generally well-behaved 3-year-old who loves walks, playing in my yard and getting attention. I’m not a counter cruiser and take treats like a gentleman. My exuberant nature sometimes gets me so excited that I might jump on the kiddos, but I’m not aggressive – and I generally get along well with people of all ages.
My foster mom says I am not destructive, although I am curious about those things the humans wear on their feet – I believe they are called shoes. I still have some puppy-like traits, so I need a little supervision, but overall I am a good boy.
I’m housetrained, good on the leash and a happy guy. I am fine when left out alone, although I do bark when left by myself, so I probably am not a good fit for apartment dwellers – and I need a lot of exercise and space to run. A fenced yard would be great.
And guess what? I’m available for adoption. I would make an active family a great companion. If you think I might be the hound for you, contact CBHR and tell them Oreo just may be your guy. Over and out!
