About Me
Hello, all you basset fans out there! My name is Milton, and I am a gentle, snuggly young guy, about 4 years old searching for his happily ever after. Would you just look at my beautiful coat? I’m techinically tri-color, but most of me is black and white.
I just got back from a home trial – we weren’t a match. CBHR is very diligent about giving us houndies and their adopters a couple of weeks – longer, if needed – to really get to know each other before making the decision final. And that is why we have so many successful adoptions. But now I have found another family who might want to adopt me!
My foster mom says I am a really good boy, but I do get bored easily and tend to chew on things when I’m left alone. Foster Mom thinks I would do best with an active family that is home a lot of the time and can take me out for walks and exercise. A well-exercised dog is a well-behaved dog! She thinks I also might like to have another canine friend or some kiddos to play with.
Beyond that, I am housetrained and can use a doggie door. I am fine with stairs, too! I don’t really like being left alone, and I especially don’t like to be crated. I will howl or bark, so Foster Mom doesn’t make me go in there. I do love to get and give affection, and I am very gentle with people. And snuggling with my humans at night is my favorite!
I like the car and am good in crowds, and Foster Mom thinks I would be great with kids. I don’t have much experience around cats but I do like other dogs.
Look, I know I’m not perfect, but who is? But I’m a lovable boy waiting to find a forever family who will love me even if I have a couple of small quirks. Could it be you?
Contact CBHR and tell them you’d like to know more about Milton – that’s me! They will give you all the information you need to decide if we are MFOE (made for each other)! I can’t wait!
