Hello, all you basset fans out there! My name is Milton, and I am one happy boy. You know why? I’m getting adopted!
I came to CBHR just a little over a month ago, but I was able to get ready for my forever family very quickly. Soon I will be joining the Happy Hounds family, thanks to the wonderful volunteers and foster families of Carolina Basset Hound Rescue.
I am with my new forever family now for a home trial. CBHR is very diligent about giving us houndies and their adopters a couple of weeks – longer, if needed – to really get to know each other before making the decision final. And that is why we have so many successful adoptions.
Have a look around, especially at our On Hold and Available for Adoption dogs. We even have a pair of silly beagles. Our operation is all-volunteer, so we are very grateful for the generous contributions we have received over the years. They help pay for our dogs’ medical expenses, which can be considerable.
