About Me

*Maisie has been adopted – again!*

Oh, hello there! Thanks for checking out my page! My name is Maisie, and I’m a young girl about 14 months old – full of spunk. I’m on the small side, but I’m not afraid to use my impressive basset hound voice as often as I can get away with it. I was actually adopted in November, but the other dog in the house didn’t like me. Fortunately, I landed right in the home of a new forever family, and I am very happy! I will soon be adopted for the second time this  year!

My foster dad says I’m happy and easygoing, and even though I just graduated from puppy to adult basset, I don’t get too rambunctious. I enjoy playing with other dogs, but I’m also happy to chill out when playtime is done.

I’m still learning some house manners, and I am housetrained. I’ve even learned to use the doggie door! I don’t chew things I’m not supposed to or guard my food. Overall, I’m a well-adjusted girl who really enjoys being with the humans – all the time, if possible.

Foster Dad says I’m very affectionate – I’m not sure what that means exactly, but I do live to give love and be loved back. My favorite thing is to curl up on FD’s lap and sleep. I am not crated and sleep in the corner of the bedroom but, boy would I love to sleep in that nice, warm bed with the human.

Great news for me! I’ve already met my forever family. But there are new hounds coming in all the time, and some of the bassets who’ve been with CBHR for a while also are eager to meet their forever families. Won’t you have a look around? Every dog just wants someone to love them.

You can tell CBHR you heard it from Maisie!
