About Me
*Lulu and Rosie have been adopted!*
Hi, basset fans! I am Lulu, and I came to CBHR with my ride-or-die Rosie. We are a bonded pair of 4-year-old bassets who need to find a new forever home. Our former owners were devastated at having to give us up, but one of them has serious health problems.
As you might imagine, we had some trouble adjusting to our foster home because we weren’t familiar with the new surroundings. But once we realized the food and comfy furniture was on the inside, we no longer insisted on sleeping in a detached garage.
We climbed up on the sofa and have been happy hounds ever since! In fact, our fosters have fallen head over heels in love with us and are talking about adopting us!
We are still working through some fears and anxiety, but we are much calmer and more comfortable than we were the first few days. Our fosters are working on socialization skills with us so we aren’t as hesitant about meeting new people.
Oh, in case you have trouble telling us apart, I’m the one with some black on her back; Rosie is mostly brown. We are tightly bonded and love follow each other around. Check back on us to see if we move to the Happy Hounds section for bassets who have found their forever families.
And please look around at all the available houndies. We all want a chance at our happily ever after! Let CBHR know that Lulu sent you!
