About Me
*Lucy has been adopted!*
Well, hello to you! My name is Lucy, and I’m a sweet basset girl about 3 years old – but my prospective adopters call me Lucille. After all, I am a lady. I’ve recently joined a CBHR foster pack and am having the time of my life. I follow my canine friends wherever they go, and I’m fitting right in.
I’m on the smaller side for a basset hound – I weigh about 47 pounds. My foster mom says I’m a very good girl. I haven’t had much experience around kiddos or cats yet, but I do very well with adults and my fellow hounds.
I haven’t had any accidents in the house, and I did very well at the vet when I visited. I still have to get spayed and have a medical problem taken care of before I’ll be ready to move to my forever home, but CBHR is actively looking for a family who will be a great match.
Really, I’m not a troublemaker. I eat in my crate, but I’m not food aggressive. I can be left out of my crate on my own and I am not destructive. I can be a little jumpy, but with time and patience, I am sure I will feel more comfortable.
As much fun as I have running around with my foster siblings, I also like a little couch time, where I can curl up and watch some TV – preferably shows with animals in them. I’m housetrained and use the doggie door like a champ!
I have an interested adopter, but keep checking back at this site, because we have some new bassets coming in, as well as some longtime CBHR houndies who are longing for their forever families. Contact CBHR and tell them you’d like more info on some of my basset friends – tell them Lucy said to give you the 411!
