Hello, ladies and gentlemen! My name is Lexie, and I’m a sweet, well-mannered Southern girl.
My foster mom describes me as calm, loving and easy to manage. My manners are impeccable, although at first I may be protective of my fosters and a little growly if other dogs are coming around. But I adjusted very quickly to Foster Mom’s other dogs, and I am being a very good houseguest.
The vet thinks I’m 6-7 years old, which may explain my good manners. I walk well on a leash and love to interact with all the interesting people I meet along the way. I also am good about going to my crate when asked. I am also clever – I ring the bell to let the people know I need to go outside!
When it’s quiet, there is nothing I like better than a good snuggle and a warm lap. When I’m not snuggling with the people, I like to sleep on my dog bed very close by. I’m just so darned loving that I can’t help but be lovable.
If you have other dogs in the house, be aware that it might take me some time to adjust to sharing you with the other dogs, but I’ll come around. I probably wouldn’t do well around cats, as I think they are made to chase. I love all people, and although I haven’t been observed around the littlest humans, Foster Mom thinks my calm demeanor would be a good fit for a household with children.
