About Me
I am Jake! Check out my father Isaiah – we are like peas and carrots and need to be adopted together.
We are very sweet boys and will be a great addition to our furever home. I get very excited to see new dogs and I bark and wag my tail. My foster family holds me back because I get soooo excited and tend to rush the dog. I love to play with other dogs. Isaiah and I both like walks – we are currently walking about 1/2 mile twice a day. Isaiah likes to do a little more basset moseying on our walks. I need a harness, as I easily slip out of my collar.
Isaiah and I love attention, and I am sometimes snuggly. Isaiah can be a little demanding of attention, bumping your leg and nudging your hand if you’ve petted him until your hand is tired. “Pet me more!”. Our foster family is very appreciative of both of us using the doggie door when we need to take care of business or I need to chase squirrels.
Isaiah has been a “grumpy old man” at times when he isn’t feeling well. This is a good clue for our furever family. He still gives some grumble if a dog walks too close to where he is laying, but he’s easy to approach. Isaiah is not fond of stairs, but he can manage a few of them.
The ideal home would have 0-2 other dogs, as Isaiah can get anxiety with a large pack. I fit in with the pack quickly – I am very sweet and adaptable. We still have not been tested around kids.
