About Me
I am Isaiah! Check out my son Jake – we are like peas and carrots and must be adopted together.
We are very sweet boys and will be a great addition to our furever home. Jake gets very excited to see new dogs and barks and wags his tail. Our foster family holds him back because he gets soooo excited and tends to rush other dogs. Jake loves to play with other dogs. Jake and I both like walks – we are currently walking about 1/2 mile twice a day. I like to do a little more basset moseying on our walks. Jake need a harness, as he easily slips out of his collar.
Jake and I love attention, and Jake is sometimes snuggly. I can be a little demanding of attention, bumping your leg and nudging your hand if you’ve petted me until your hand is tired. “Pet me more!”. Our foster family is very appreciative of both of us using the doggie door when we need to take care of business or Jake needs to chase squirrels.
I have been a “grumpy old man” at times when I’m not feeling well. This is a good clue for our furever family. I still give some grumble if a dog walks too close to where I am laying, but I’m easy to approach. I’m not fond of stairs, but I can manage a few of them.
The ideal home would have 0-2 other dogs, as I can get anxiety with a large pack. Jake fit in with the pack quickly – he is very sweet and adaptable. We still have not been tested around kids.
