Hi! My name is Harvey, and I’m a 5-year-old basset boy who is super excited for my next adventure. I came to CBHR with my bonded pal Albert, but sadly he passed away. I’m a bit timid meeting new people, but I am warming up to the idea of crowds.
I’m reliably housetrained and generally good on a leash, but I am very scared of loud noises. I meet other dogs politely without barking or trying to be an alpha dog. I love to snuggle with people and get lots of quiet attention.
My favorite walks are on quiet paths without a lot of traffic or noise. I am working on my socialization skills and my anxiety, but it’s a process for us bassets whose lives have changed. You get used to one family, and suddenly, you’re with a whole new family; it takes time to adjust.
I’m doing a great job, though – so great that I have a family waiting to adopt me! Take a look around at my basset friends, though. We all want our forever family and the chance to live out our lives knowing love.
