Hank A.

*Hank has been adopted – his adoptive family changed his name to Frank because they had a very special boy named Hank previously and they wanted their newest family member to have a unique identity. Congratualtions on your forevern home, Hank/Frank!*

They call me Hank A., to distinguish me from the other Hank on this site. I’m fairly new to CBHR, but I already have a potential adopter. And why not?

Foster Mom describes me as “a perfect little basset.” I’m calm and love being a lap dog – I’ll stick to you like Velcro if you sit down with me. I’m equally content just napping at your feet.  I absolutely adore attention and was really good and social during a recent outing to a crowded, dog-friendly venue.

I am good around children and other dogs, and I am working hard on my housetraining. I haven’t been crated, but Foster Mom thinks I would crate well. I am not aggressive, and I even did well getting my nails trimmed – something we bassets are notorious for hating.

As noted above, I have someone interested in adopting me, but keep checking back for my status. In the meantime, you may notice a number of other new bassets being posted, as well as a lot of bassets who have been waiting a while for their forever family to find them.

Every basset deserves the right home! Contact CBHR and they will help you find the right hound for you!
