About Me
Well, hello, basset fans! My name is Franklin, and I am an easygoing, sweet senior hound. I’m happy to find myself with a great CBHR foster (they all are!) and I’m settling in just fine.
Foster Mom says I am a real sweetheart! I love to sit at my people’s feet and be near them. When it comes time to snooze, I prefer my bed or the sofa to your bed. And here’s another great thing: I am fully housetrained.
I really love playing with my foster’s dog – and with just about every other dog I meet. Even though I’m 8 years old, I have lots of energy. Sniffing and sunning in the backyard are some of my favorite activities, but I also demand at least one short walk a day. I walk politely on my leash, don’t you know.
As a long hound with a great sniffer, I also can be a sneaky guy when it comes to people food within my reach. I can’t help it – counter cruising is my jam. C’mon, those groceries smell soooo good!
Don’t let my lumps worry you – the vet says those bumpy things look worse than they are. They say I am a healthy guy. I also have some skin allergies, so I get an allergy shot every 4-6 weeks. Some high-quality food also helps my skin feel better.
My foster loves me a lot, so I may have found my forever home. But keep checking back, and don’t forget to have a look at some of my basset friends who are looking for their forever homes. We all just want to love and be loved.
