About Me

*Frank has been adopted!*

Hello! I’m Frank. My foster mom says I’m very energetic and kind of a handful. I act much younger than my estimated age – I’m about 4 years old.

I also love attention and love to play with toys. I haven’t shown any food aggression, and I gently take treats without grabbing them out of your hand. I also love snuggling up in bed with my humans.

My foster mom says I have a little anxiety. I hate to be left alone, either in the crate or in the house. I need a family that might be home more and can help extinguish my anxiety.

I love to play with other dogs.I would really love a dog to play with because I am so energetic. Or frequent walks and trips to the doggie park (although I tend to get carsick – that also might be related to my anxiety).

I get along with adults and children. Given my nervousness, I probably would do best in a home with a calm environment.

One thing that would help me bring out my best basset self is some obedience training. I can get into a little trouble like getting into the trash and chewing things. I also tend to try to hump a dog but only when we first meet – but I am getting pretty good at listening to commands. With the right incentive and a lot of repetition, I am sure I can be a wonderful hound dog for someone.

I’m still getting accustomed to my foster home and need to get some medical stuff out of the way, but keep checking on my progress. I’m a fun-loving guy who just needs some reassurance that a forever family can offer.

This is Frank, signing off for now. Contact CBHR if you would like to learn more about me!
