Greetings, Future Fur-ever Family! I can’t wait to meet you! My name is Duchess, and I’m a 7-year-old girl who recently had a litter of puppies. The pups are weaned and out of the house, but I would very much like a new home with a family that gives me some good lovies and rubs.
I’m a well-mannered lady and am very happy when I am around people. My foster says I’m a very good houseguest – I’m housebroken and haven’t shown any undesirable behaviors. I do tend to bark and howl when crated (hey, I just don’t like to be separated from the humans), but I settle down after a little while, and I am sure I will get better with the help of a patient and loving family.
I am not quite ready for adoption, but the great folks at Carolina Basset Hound Rescue will keep you updated as to when I am ready to go. In the meantime, contact CBHR if you would like to make me your forever hound! I’ll try to live up to my royal name!
