About Me
Hello there! I’m Gladys, and this is my bestie Dottie. We are a bonded pair who have found their new forever family, thanks to CBHR! I’m the one with more black on my coat; Dottie has a lot more white on hers.
I’m doing the talking because Dottie is a little shy, but I’m already settlin into my new life. We’re a couple of 6-year-old girls who love our naps, but we also love to play with each other a lot. We are inseparable and well-behaved.
Dottie has had a little more trouble getting comfy than me, because she misses our former family. They had a sad, major disruption in their lives and knew they couldn’t give us the attention we needed. CBHR came to our rescue, and now we are about to be adopted!
We bonded pairs are sometimes more difficult to place because not everyone wants or can care for two houndies at once. So we got very lucky. CBHR is all-volunteer, and they work to get us bassets the medical care and love we need to be ready for adoption.
Sometimes dogs have challenges, but CBHR works to find them the right forever home. All dogs want to be loved.
We depend on the kindness of donors to help cover the sometimes-extensive medical care for our bassets. CBHR also is always looking for foster families who can take in and work with dogs to help them be their best basset selves.
