About Me
Hello, hound fans! My name is Dixie Mae, and I am one friendly basset girl. I’m about 2 ½ years old and I just adore meeting new people and seeing new sights. My fosters say I’m a pleasure to have around, and I am playful as can be.
I do love me some groceries, though, and while I’m not aggressive, I might be prone to snatching yummy treats from the little humans. Other than that, though, I do great around adults and children. My foster dads take me to local outdoor restaurants and breweries, and I relish my time out among the crowds.
I am affectionate but am still learning my house manners. I want to be a polite Southern lady, so I am working on it! I’m still a young girl, so I just need the proper guidance from my loving fosters. I don’t mind being crated while my fosters are out, and I don’t complain about much of anything.
As of this posting, I may have a potential forever family, but keep checking back. And while you are here, take a look at some of my fellow basset buddies. Some of them are older doggies, and have some particular needs, but we all just want a home where we can be loved and live our best lives!
