About Me
Hola, y’all! My name is Diego and I’m an energetic 3-year-old basset boy with a fun-loving attitude. I’m looking for an active family who can keep up with me and let me live my best life.
I really love my toys and can play for long stretches at a time. I get along with humans of all ages, even the littlest ones. Wrestling with the other dog in the house makes me very happy and helps get outsome of my restless energy. I confess that I like to run after the rabbits, but those critters are fast!
You’ll be happy to learn that I am fully housetrained and have no problem navigating stairs. I walk well on a leash, but I’ve really only been on a leash when I have to go see the vet. Foster Mom leaves the music on when she has to leave because my canine foster brother has some separation anxiety and it calms him. And I like it too!
I have just become available for adoption, but I think my foster mom has fallen in love with me and wants to adopt me. Isn’t that great news? But, hey, why don’t you take a look at some of my more mature basset buddies, specifically Barkley and Oakley? Senior hounds make great pets. Sometimes they have special medical or social needs, but they are usually calm and laid back.
Every dog here just wants to meet that special someone who will love them forever. In return, they will give back even more love. And the adoption fees for senior houds areless. Contact CBHR for information on how you, too, can have your very own basset. Tell them Diego recommended it.
