About Me
*Dexter has been adopted!*
Hi-ho, there, everyone! I’m Dexter, a 15-month-old sweetie pie. I am living the good life in my foster home with a fellow CBHR basset who was adopted last year. We get along great and love to frolic in the yard. I even get along with the cats – although one of them let me know he was not interested in being my playmate.
When I’m not busy running and playing, I’m a total lapdog, and I do love me some belly rubs! I’m a good eater, but my foster parents are trying to keep me from getting lots of table scraps like I was getting at my former home.
I am housetrained and good with humans of all ages. As you might imagine, a young guy like me who is pretty well-behaved already has a potential adopter. But since you spotted me, why not look around some more? CBHR keeps getting new houndies who are longing for a forever family. Maybe one of them (or one of our bonded pairs, if you have room in your home and your heart) will be your match.
Most of us bassets also come to CBHR with medical needs, ranging from routine vaccinations and spaying/neutering to some health problems that are quite extensive. Thanks to the generosity of people like you, CBHR can get us all the veterinary care we need. And we hounds are very grateful for that!
Well, I’ve got to run – lots of playtime left in the day! Contact CBHR if any of my fellow bassets touches your heart! Tell them Dexter sent you!
