About Me
Hello there! I’m Delilah, and I came to CBHR with Knox. We are a basset-beagle combo – I’m the basset and Knox is the beagle. We’re both about 3 years old, and we are so smart that we learned how to ring a bell when we need to go outside.
Right now we are getting some medical stuff out of the way – I was diagnosed with those nasty heartworms – and our foster mom is trying to determine if we are bonded or if we could be adopted separately. We do like each other, and Knox gets anxious if he doesn’t have a human or another dog around. We also both like cats.
I also have some separation anxiety, but mostly because I love being around people. I get so excited when I meet kids that I jump on them. Foster Mom thinks I could benefit from obedience training to help me learn good manners (Confession: I also counter-surf, but my foster is helping me learn I need to ask permission.)
I love the sound of my basset voice and use it often – especially when strangers come into the yard and to greet people who come inside the house. I walk well on a leash and am really good around people of all ages when I settle down a bit.
I’m having a good time in foster care while I’m waiting to get into tip-top shape to meet my new forever family. Could it be you?
Why don’t you inquire about us, Delilah and Knox? Or, if you’re looking for a more pint-sized duo, take a look at the bios for fun-loving beagles Wrigley and Fenway. They are ready to add some comedy and love to the right household.
