Cooper… hmmm. Perhaps you are reminded of the movie star and space heroes, Gary Cooper and Gordon Cooper. I would very much like to follow that tradition and be your “Cooper hero” in a forever home. I have every potential and intention to be just that!
I am a sweet middle-aged guy and you have to agree I have a cute “puppy face” as my foster mom describes. She says I love to squeeze my face in laps for head and ear rubs. I am a great sleeper and like a soft place to be like the bed or couch. I like to sleep but am ready to play at any opportunity. My foster mom also says I am courteous and have great manners. Taking walks and exploring are some of my favorite things to do, and I will walk as for long as and far as I am allowed to do. How many bassets do you know that can say that? I just don’t like walking on rocks because it hurts my feet 🙂 I am mild mannered and like adults, kids, toddlers, and other dogs. Other good things are that I am completely house trained and love to ride. I am a little anxious about loud noises, but not overly so. As a result, I like to be cuddled if I hear storms or fireworks.
I came to the CBHR with a few medical problems when my original family couldn’t take care of me anymore. One of the problems was I had to have several teeth removed. The good news is I am recovering, learning how to eat and drink minus some teeth, but gaining weight. As a result, I am well on my way to be in a forever home. Why not give me a chance be a great snuggle buddy, walking companion, and hero in yours? You will not regret it!!
