My name is Coop, and I’m one sweet puppy! I have settled into my foster home nicely and even hang out with one of the cats. I’m just 7 months old, so I’m still learning my house manners and this housetraining thing.
I like to chew because I’m a young guy, and I got carsick on the way to my foster family, but I’m a happy guy because I’m getting a forever family!
Some of my fellow houndies aren’t so lucky. I only recently came to CBHR, but some of the other hounds on hold are still waiting for the right family to come along. We come with a wide range of experiences and situations – some good, some terrible – so it’s important for our forever families to be patient, loving and gentle but firm.
Some have behavior problems to work through, while others have just gotten older. But just because they aren’t puppies anymore doesn’t mean they don’t long for love just like me.
Fortunately, a lot of us are adoption pending right now, which means there will be room to take in more basset hounds in the future. And they will keep coming.
