*Cletus and Daisy Mae have been adopted!*
Good day to you, basset fans! My name is Cletus, and I came to CBHR with my sister Daisy Mae. We are quite a pair. Both of us are purebred bassets and are 9 years old.
My foster mom says I’m a bit of a picky eater – I’m just not that into food, but I am eating OK. I am pretty skinny for a basset, though. I’ve only been in foster care a short time, so I’m still getting adjusted. I also really need to be near a person to feel comfortable – I need to be touching you.
I am housetrained!
I get along well with other people, and I’m a really sweet-natured, even-tempered guy. I do have a deep, loud bark, which can startle the little ones sometimes, but I am one lovable dude. Daisy Mae and I like to go on walks, but neither of us cares much about playing with toys.
We were in a loving home before my owner had to give me up because her mother has Alzheimer’s and needs a lot of care. Our thoughtful owner knew she could no longer devote enough time to us, so she made the difficult decision to ask CBHR to rehome us. It will take a little time for us to get settled in, but keep checking back for updates. We deserve a new forever home!
