About Me
Hola, everyone! My name is Bonita, and that means “pretty” in Spanish! And just look at my gorgeous 9-year-old self! I came to CBHR as one of three strays picked up in the same area. I am a real sweetheart and love attention. But efore I got to my nice foster home, my life wasn’t amazing.
I came in with a UTI and an ear infection, and I’m finding this housetraining thing confusing. I also needed a bath really badly. The good people at CBHR thinks I might have been a breeding dog who had aged out. But I am in a great place right now! My wonderful, patient foster people have given me a secure, happy home and they even want to adopt me!
They are helping me get a trainer who can help me understand how to let the people know when I need to go out. I’ve also lost some weight and frankly, I’m not very food motivated. I eat well in the morning but I’m not a snarf dog.
I am easily frightened by loud noises and don’t like being left alone, but I’m still trying to adjust. CBHR works with hounds where we are, and their goal is for every basset to be ready to meet their forever families.
Like I said, my foster parents are committee for the long haul, but there are other hounds coming in all the time, and we all want a life of love and happiness. Please have a look around. Maybe you will see the perfect dog for you! Just contact CBHR for more details!
