About Me
*Blake has been adopted!*
Howdy, y’all! My name’s Blake, and I’m a laid-back senior gentleman. My eyes are failing me, but I don’t let that stop me from giving warm greetings to everybody I meet! I was at the vet for a checkup recently and wowed the staff and clients with my Southern charm.
My tail is always wagging, especially since I was rescued as a stray – I was in pretty sad shape, mind you, but I’m doing much better now. I have a warm bed and some good chow to eat, and CBHR is making sure I get good medical care. One of the people I met at the vet even made a donation to help me get the eye surgery I need. Thanks!
Mostly, I’m a sweet 10-year-old guy and one of my fosters described me as an angel. I love it when you talk to me, and I sleep well throughout the night – I don’t even need a crate because I have such good house manners.
I get along great with everyone. I don’t have a lot of time around children but my foster mom feels I would be fine since I’m such an easygoing dude.
My legs can be a bit wobbly, but I still enjoy wandering around the backyard, sniffing all the smells and going for short walkies. I love my groceries and especially my cookies. I’m also a good boy when I have to get my eyedrops.
One of my favorite new pastimes is taking my chewy bones and burying them in the yard until I’m ready to gnaw on them again.
I’m not quite ready to go to my forever family yet since I still have a couple of medical issues to handle, but I sure would love for you to contact CBHR if you think I might be a good pal to have around. I really like being with people. CBHR can give you more details about me.
For now, I’m kicking back in my foster home and enjoying life. This is Blake, signing off!
