*Bentley Boy has been adopted!*
Hi, everyone! My name is Bentley Boy, and I’m learning how to be my best basset self. I’m a loverboy, and my foster dad says I’m quite the comedian, too! I have made myself at home here with my foster people, and they are teaching me all about household manners.
I’m a young guy – just about 2 ½ years old – and I still have a lot of puppy exuberance. Sometimes I get overly excited about playing with other dogs, but I am learning to respond well when my fosters offer verbal corrections. I’m also housetrained.
I just love meeting new people, and I walk pretty well on a leash – although I’m a typical basset and love to sniff and explore. I am not crated, and apparently I have some separation anxiety like barking and whining when my fosters are gone, but they are usually around so it’s not much of a problem.
I get along with older children, but I might be too exuberant for the younger ones. I also really want to chase cats.
The good news is, I am adoption pending right now. But CBHR gets so many bassets who need some patience and love from the right family. Have a look around – maybe you have room in your heart and home for a CBHR houndie?
