About Me
Me-oh, my-oh, my name’s Bayou, and I’m greeting you with my best basset howl! I’m a 3-year-old boy who loves to play in the sunshine and roll in the grass. My foster mom says I’m a sweet, good-natured guy. It’s true, and I really enjoy cuddling with the people.
You know what else I like? Playing with the other dog in the house. And food – I get soooo excited when Foster Mom’s loading up my dinner bowl that I dance and hop around. A guy’s gotta eat. I’m polite about it, though.
I walk like a gentleman on my leash, and I’m good in the car. I’m still working on housetraining, but my foster family is working with me so I can get ready to meet my forever family. I whine when I first go into my crate because I love being around people, but I settle right down after a few minutes. And I sleep all night there.
One of my favorite things is chewing! I have some chew toys, but every now and then I will try to sneak a shoe or nibble on a chair leg. Foster Mom is working to help me learn what’s off limits. Mostly, I want to be cuddle the people and get lots of loves.
I am good with adults and older children but haven’t been observed around younger kiddos. Likewise, I haven’t had much experience with cats.
