My name is Barkley, and I am a very good boy! Don’t let my senior status fool you – I may be 9 years old, but I am living my best life.
I love all people, including the littlest humans, and I am good with other dogs and cats, too. My maturity means I’ve outgrown all those puppy behaviors that can be annoying. I am quiet, don’t have any food aggression, and I love to ride in the car. I do like to use my basset voice when I want to come in from outside, though. And just look at this adorable face and my gap-toothed grin!
I love being around people and am an expert snuggler. I don’t jump on the furniture, but if you’re willing to help me up, I am happy to cuddle with you under a blanket. I’m still sorting out some medical issues – I have Cushing’s disease, but the veterinarian is working on getting my medication dose right so it will be under control.
I am also housetrained and crate trained! And the best news is, I am now ready to meet my forever family!
