About Me

Hello, everyone! I’m Bandit, and I have been living up to my name since coming to CBHR. I haven’t met a counter I can’t surf. Recently, my nose guided me to a piece of tasty cake – yum! I also helped myself to some candy corn. I have been known to sneak a bit of the humans’ dinner when they’re not looking also. I’ve also been spotted exploring the dining room table or just plopping down there for a nap.

My point is that I am curious and guided by my excellent sense of smell, so I’ll need a family who can keep an eye on me so I don’t get into trouble.

I’m a friendly guy but can be grumpy and have been known to nip if you try to take something away from me. CBHR will work with me on that aggression issue, and I’m sure I will learn to be more polite. I’m still a young dog – just 2 years old – so I have time to brush up on my manners and learn how not to be such a … bandit.

I adore long walks and meeting new people and dogs, and exercise is a good way for me to channel all my puppy-like energy.

Needless to say, my foster mom believes I need a lot of basic obedience training. She will help me get some of that, but I’ll need a family who can commit to providing me gentle guidance and consistency.

One of my favorite things is romping in the backyard and running up and down the fence with the dog next door. Foster Mom thinks I am mostly housetrained, but she will update that information after she gets to know me better.

She also hasn’t had much time to assess my personality traits, but she does say that I am very sweet. Keep checking back for updates on me.

I may be a work in progress, but if you think there’s room in your home and heart for a mischievous scamp like me, contact CBHR for more information. They try to match each basset to their perfect family.

I’m Bandit, and it’s time to play!
