Well, hello there! My name is Atlas, and I’m a young guy named after the Greek god who held up the world on his shoulders. Thankfully, with CBHR’s help, I don’t have to carry the world on mine.
I came here after a previous owner’s life situation changed, and they wanted me to find a good home. Well, as luck would have it, I think I have found a new forever family! I’m so excited!
My foster family says I’m great with people of all ages, as well as other dogs. But I’m not so good with cats. I like to chase them if they are outside. I love walkies but I sometimes bark at other people and dogs when I’m out and about.
I’m also a bit of an escape artist, but my fosters keep a close eye on me when I’m in the yard. I can jump the fence, however, and have made some escapes. A tall privacy fence would probably be best for me. Since I’m such a young dude, I still have some puppy behaviors, but my foster family is working with me to redirect me.
I’ve really adjusted to my new household, and I’m so happy I may soon have a permanent home. But keep checking this website for my progress and to have a look at some of the other amazing bassets on this site. We all are searching for that one family or individual who can give us love and let us love them back.
