About Me
Hi, everyone! I’m Buddy, and I am one sweet boy. As you can see, I’m a basset mixed with a fuzzy dog, but no matter. I’m enjoying life with my foster family, and I’ve even bonded with another CBHR hound – Maisie, who was one of the “Dirty Dozen” that came to CBHR in 2022 after living a life in a backyard. She just fell in love with me, and now we play together all the time!
Maisie showed me how to use stairs – I didn’t know what those things were – as well as giving me a lot of tips on living with this foster family. I got really excited when one of the small humans in the neighborhood was hunting Easter eggs. I rolled over and let him rub my belly!
My foster family has fallen head-over-heels in love with me, and I am now adoption pending! But check out some of my fellow houndies on this page. We all have so much love to give, and, unfortunately, new bassets who need homes are coming in often.
Maybe you’d like to be a foster family to help the hounds get ready for their new forever families. Our CBHR fosters are a special bunch! CBHR runs on 100 percent volunteer assistance; all donations go toward medical care, supplies or services aimed at finding our bassets a new home.
