Hi, basset fans! My name’s Beau and I’m a 4-year-old boy who just loves having my belly and ears rubbed. I also love people and seek their attention. My foster mom says I’m one sweet guy!
My favorite spot is right next to you, where I can get lots of pets! I’m housetrained but really hate going out in the rain. I will use a potty pad, but my foster mom is working on helping me be more comfortable outdoors in the rain. Like many of my fellow doggies, I am terrified of thunder and fireworks.
I also get along great with the other dogs and the cat in the house. However, my foster mom thinks I would be fine as an only dog, too. And I walk like a perfect gentleman on my leash. I do have a tendency to try to bolt out of the house to get outside, though.
I’m such a good boy that I will immediately go to my crate when asked. And it’s best to keep me crated when you’re leaving, because I can get into some mischief. I’m a big boy and am overweight, and I also love me some groceries. I will counter surf or get into the garbage if you’re not watching, so it’s best not to leave any food within my range.
I’m on a diet to lose some of my pounds, and the great news is that I am not picky about my food in the least.
