Time for the 2022 CBHR Calendar Contest Again!

• Only high resolution, landscape photos not containing people will be eligible for the 12 main, monthly spots.
• Photos not meeting these requirements will only be used for the smaller squares.
• If your photo does not meet eligibility for either category, I will contact you at the time of submission.

It’s that time again, the annual CBHR Calendar Contest. Will your lovely lady or dashing dude be our centerfold?
This year is a little bit different…. have you ever had the secret desire to stuff a ballot box? Well, now is your chance! In order to raise some much needed funds for our foster hounds, votes will be $1 each. In the spirit of fun and raising money for our beloved foster hounds, reach out to your friends and family and encourage them to “stuff that ballot box” in honor of your beloved hound! Voting will begin on Monday, September 27 and continue through midnight Friday, October 15. Keep your eyes on your mailbox for the link to stuff that ballot box (and you will be able to vote directly at www.cbhr.com starting September 27).
We will be accepting photos from NOW through September 24th at 6p EST. The photo receiving the most votes will receive the much coveted honor of gracing the cover as well as one month, and one year’s supply of unlimited bragging rights. The next 11 highest vote-getters will grace the remaining months.
Beyond the top 12, about 72 hounds (6 per month) will be featured in the daily blocks throughout the calendar.
RULES:
• The basset in the picture should be a basset or basset-like- it doesn’t matter if the hound is your personal basset or a basset you’re fostering, or sadly, one who may be at the bridge. Young or senior, long or short, here or gone, they are all beautiful!
• For Monthly Main Photos- Submitted photos need to be high resolution (about 300 dpi), landscape orientation ONLY (horizontal, left to right, side to side – if you’re using your iPhone, it needs to be held widthwise in your hands).
• For Daily Block Photos – Landscape or Portrait (when your iPhone is tall in your hands) are eligible to receive votes, but will be featured only in the smaller, daily blocks.
• The photo needs to be at least 300 dpi at a full page size in order to be considered for the top 12 spots ( it is the printer’s requirements, not ours). Lower resolution and portrait oriented photos can only be considered for smaller spots in the calendar.
• Your dog can only appear as the main picture in one of the 12 months. So if you are a super photographer, and your dog wins all the months, the next 11 winning dogs will be selected for the remaining months.
• All entries must be submitted to me by September 24th at 6p EST.
Please send your photos as HIGH RESOLUTION ATTACHMENTS to calendar@cbhr.com along with the dog’s name and your name, email, and a good contact number.
We can’t wait to see some awesome basset photos.
