Staffing

CBHR is staffed entirely by volunteers. Everyone – those who process applications, schedule home visits and transports, do home visits and transports, promote CBHR on social media, enter data, answer email and phone calls, find foster homes, arrange adoptions, set up vet appointments, run events, set policy, manage day-to-day operations – is a volunteer donating time. Our foster families are the best, opening their homes and hearts to these hounds who deserve to be loved.

Funding

CBHR is funded by donations, grants, and various fund-raising activities. Donations account for the majority of our funding. CBHR places the welfare of our rescued basset hounds above all else. We are pleased that 92% of our expenditures go to our program mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming unwanted bassets. The remainder covers necessary operating costs: insurance, utilities, accounting.

To protect the privacy of our donors, we will never sell, rent, give, or share your personal information with any other person or organization. We will not send mailings to you on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by us whether online or offline.
