About Me
Greetings! I’m Stanley, a happy-go-lucky hound who has plenty of love to share. I’ll share a secret: My fosters renamed me Stanley because they got me the day the Carolina Hurricanes won the Stanley cup – so you know I must be a champion basset.
I adore belly rubs, and I’m happiest when I’m with my people. I am a true gentleman around the smallest humans, and I take treats oh, so gently. I am not food-aggressive, but I do look longingly at the other dogs’ food.
My fosters say I have a wonderful temperament – I’m generally laid back and have no anxiety. I like going on short walks but also love a good nap. However, I do like to try to chase squirrels and will try to follow you out the door.
I’m good in crowds and I do great around other dogs. I went to a pub with my fosters and play well at the dog park. I also use the doggie door.
And do you know what? My fosters fell head over heels for me and want to adopt me! That sounds great to me, but CBHR also has other hounds – both new to the rescue and a few veterans – who also long for their forever families. CBHR gives them lots of love and tends to all their medical needs to help them get ready to be adopted.
Keep checking this site. If you spot a hound that you think might be your BFF, contact CBHR. You can tell them Stanley sent you!
