About Me
They call me Freckles – just look at those spots on my snout! I’m an affectionate, almost 6-year-old basset boy who needs a family that will help me become my very best self. I get excited to meet other dogs and people of all ages, and I get a case of the zoomies whenever my foster people return home, but I also can be a calm boy.
I take treats very gently, but I may not be suited to a home with the smallest humans. I adore them, but I also jump on them because I want so badly to play with them. I am still working on my leash mannersand could use some obedience training to help me contain my excitement (and to learn not to counter surf).
But my fosters trust me to be on good behavior when they are gone. They don’t crate me and I don’t chew on anything I’m not supposed to (as long as there’s no food within my reach). Oh, I forgot to mention that I even love the cat!
Car rides are lots of fun! But I haven’t been tested in crowds because my fosters think I need more training to behave politiely around groups of people.
Listen, I know I’m a work in progress, but I am also one happy, sweet hound and I just need consistent and gentle guidance. If you’d like to learn more about me, contact CBHR and tell them you’d like to know more about me, Freckles. I’ll be waiting!
