About Me
Howdy, y’all! My name is Truman, and I’m one of the bassador puppies that CBHR took in this year. (That’s short for basset/labrador mix). My body and ears say “basset,” but my coat says yellow lab, and my personality is definitely more happy-go-lucky lab than sad-eyed basset.
For one thing, I love, love, love going to the vet! I also ride calmly in the car and fall asleep almost immediately. And while my many of my basset brethren aren’t much for water, I adore splashing in the stuff! On the other hand, I have the sweet, cuddly nature of a basset hound, as well as that hound-dog charm.
I love my toys and love to run and zoom around the house and yard! At restaurants and breweries, I’m a perfect gentleman. My fosters say I’m the sweetest dog ever, and they love me with all their hearts.
And guess what? They want to adopt me! At CBHR, foster families have the option of being first on a dog’s wait list. That said, no hound leaves CBHR without first getting the medical attention and, if necessary, socialization training needed to help them be their best basset selves. CBHR also does a great job matching dogs and potential adopters, as well as vetting fosters.
I may be spoken for, but have a look at some of the other hounds who are available or on hold. One of them might be your perfect forever companion!
