About Me
Howdy! My name is Maybelle, and I’m a silly, sassy 8-month-old girl. I’m a puppy in every way, which means I am still learning house manners and what is and isn’t appropriate to chew on. But I am also a sweetheart – and smart! I even trained myself to use a pee pad!
I am also working hard on housetraining – and learning that the humans aren’t happy when I chew up their things, including some shoes and the book Foster Dad was reading. But don’tyou worry, all puppies go through a mischievous stage, and I am sure I will settle down with consistent guidance and patience.
Oh, and I forgot to tell you: I am one of the bassador puppies who came to CBHR recently – part lab, part basset. And as you can see, I have traits of both breeds, but Foster Mom says I seem more lab than basset.
I love attention and demand it often – from people, pups and cats. If my forever family has another doggo or two, I probably would do better with medium and larger dogs because I love to roughhouse. Because I am so exuberant, I might not be well-suited for a family with small children, but that may soon change as I learn how to behave politely in the house.
