About Me
Hello, world! They call me Droopy, my journey with CBHR starts with a sad tale. I was found essentially left behind at a flea market in a pen with a sign that said “free to a good home.” No one picked me up, but somehow I got out and was found wandering down a highway when a good Samaritan picked me up and contacted CBHR after my previous owner said they didn’t want me back.
But don’t worry! My story is about to have a happy ending! I am loving life being an indoor dog, and I am adoption pending!
I still have a few medical issues to work out before I can become a permanent member of my forever family, but CBHR is so great about making sure we houndies get all the care we need.
My foster says I’m a great big cuddle bug, and I can’t disagree with that. I really enjoy this indoor living! However, I also love the outdoors and like to get in my daily zoomies, so a nice fencedbackyard would be a great plus for me.
I love other dogs and even get along with cats. I enjoy riding in the car and I have been well-behaved when walking on a retractable leash that lets me get in some sniffs when I want. I love sleeping in the bed with people.
Now, I am not perfect. If you leave the toilet open, I just assume it’s a giant water bowl and help myself, and I have a weakness for people food. I like to beg for it, or help myself if it’s accessible to me. But none of that outweighs my good points.
I get so excited when my foster comes home from work, and I am working on showing my affection without jumping on people. I do get along well with the little humans, and I even let them use me as a pillow.
In short, I’m a great catch, and I’m so excited that someone wants to adopt me! There are other dogs here that are still waiting for their happily ever after. Won’t you take a look around? My CBHR friend Connar just went up on the website, and there are several who are ready to find their forever family.
If you’re interested, contact CBHR and tell them Droopy sent you!
