Hi, basset lovers! I’m Cooper, and I am one sociable hound. I’m about 5 ½ years old. I enjoy being around people, and I’m a very good boy. My foster parents had an event at their house, and I didn’t try to steal food or beg. I’m not above stealing a little love, though. They did say I needed to go on a diet because I’m a bit chonky.
I’m a little anxious, and my fosters are working with me to help me build confidence. They also are working on helping me learn some commands and basic house manners. I’m a bit of an escape artist, so they have to be very careful that I don’t sneak out when they aren’t looking.
I really love my fosters and want to be around them all the time – I even wait for them outside the shower, LOL. I whine when they leave, but it doesn’t take me long to settle down and have a nap until they return.
My fosters say I’m not aggressive, and the only time I have growled in their presence was at my own shadow. I was startled! They think I will be best as an only dog, but I don’t growl or bark at other dogs when I meet them on my walk. Lucky for me, they have fallen head over heels in love with me, so I’m adoption pending.
