*Delilah has been adopted!*
Well, I declare! Hello! I’m Delilah. I came to CBHR with Knox, but he’s going to be adopted separately. I’m about 3 years old and whip-smart – I know how to ring a bell when I need to go outside.
Right now I am busy getting treated for those nasty heartworms, but once I’m done, you won’t find a better houndie than me if you’re looking to adopt.
I have some separation anxiety, but mostly because I love being around people. I get so excited when I meet humans! Now that Knox is in another home, I have settled in and am having the time of my life.
I love the sound of my basset voice and use it often – especially when strangers come into the yard and to greet people who come inside the house. I walk well on a leash and am really good around people of all ages.
I’m smart enough to recognize when certain humans – like the kiddos and older folks – need me to be gentle and sweet. One of my FAVORITE things is getting belly rubs! My foster mom’s daughter and grandchildren say I’m one of the bestest houndies to come through FM’s home!
I’m having a good time in foster care while I’m waiting to get into tip-top shape to meet my new forever family. Could it be you? I will be eagerly awaiting your application (as will CBHR).
