About Me

*Knox has been adopted!*

Well, howdy! I’m Knox, a 3-year-old Beagle who came to CBHR with Delilah, a basset hound of the same age. We were originally listed as a bonded pair, but while I enjoy having another dog for company, we are not bonded and we are now with separate foster families. I’m a happy, cuddly fella who loves to play!

I really love being around people and miss them badly when they are gone. I have some separation anxiety when they leave, and another dog to comfort me would be most helpful. I’m also an escape artist, following the scent of whatever I’m on the trail of even if it means getting out of a sturdy metal fence, which I did the other day. My new forever home will need a secure fence that I can’t dig under or climb over.

I love to go walking, and I’m good on a leash. I don’t bark at children or adults while I’m on my excursions, but I’m an expert watchdog at home. If someone walks by the house or into the yard, I will let everyone in the neighborhood know. Speaking of smarts, my talents include ringing a bell when I need to go outside!

Now, you’ll need to keep me well-supplied with chew objects and other tough toys, because I’m really good at tearing the fluff out of those that aren’t made to stand up to my jaws. I’m not destructive, but I do sometimes try to chew on things I’m not supposed to.

I’m not food-aggressive. I don’t love getting into my crate, but I settle in and sleep well once I get used to it.

I’ve had all my medical checkups and passed with flying colors, so I’m available for adoption! If you’d like to know more about me, contact CBHR and tell them you just fell in love with this handsome face. I sure would love to meet you!

And I’d like to put a plug in for my fellow beagles, Wrigley and Fenway, who came to CBHR when the beagle rescue was overflowing. They are ready to find their forever family right now!

I’m off to do some more chewing now. Knox out!
