About Me
*Luna and Molly have been adopted!*
Hi, all! My name is Molly, and I came to CBHR with my younger buddy Luna. We are a bonded pair, even though we sometimes get on each other’s nerves.
I’m a 6-year-old girl and my foster mom thinks I was originally trained as a hunting dog, kept in a pen and had to fight for my food with other dogs. She feels that may explain why I eat my meals so aggressively and get possessive when Luna is around. We are fed separately. I also let my presence be known when the food is being prepared.
We both love attention, but I get kinda jealous when Luna gets some loves. My fosters think I am starved for human affection, and I just don’t want to share it. They are teaching me that all I need to do is ask, and I can have all the loves I want!
We love to go for adventures outdoors, but I’m a powerful girl and my instinct tells me to seek out critters. I pull a lot to get to where I need to be, but I am working on my leash manners. I also am learning to understand commands and respond pretty well unless I am distracted. (And with so much new to explore in my new home, who wouldn’t be distracted?)
I am learning that if I work on my house and leash manners, I will earn treats. Now, that’s something I can understand. We are housebroken, but we get up in the middle of the night sometimes. Our fosters are keeping tabs to see if they can help us get into a routine that allows them to get some sleep.
Overall, we are a pair of good girls, and our fosters want to adopt us! Stand by for updates on our progress. We hope that one day soon, we will join the roster of CBHR Happy Hounds who have found their forever homes!
Speaking of which, there are still some bassets – and a pair of “bagels” – who are still looking for someone to open their hearts and home to them. We all want to find our forever family! Contact CBHR for more information, and keep coming back, because we have more houndies coming in.
I’m Molly, and I have to go find Luna now. Bye!
